I was referring to hearing 2 different messages on the same frequency at the same time. Fun. In fact, I was hearing 3 at the same time just a bit ago. It does get busy at times. If we catch him Monday then we should announce it to the world. Imagine the morale boost for our troops - for the country. Then justice can be served. |

I had never heard two different EAMs go out on 11.175 at the same time. I have heard the same message slightly delayed (receiving 2 stations). After their first message, Offutt came up with a Sky King call. Back to the first: shortly after, a message of 48 characters was heard, after which the party signed off. He had ID'd himself as 'bee bread'. He then said, "Bee Bread standing by for traffic". No response. Both Bee Bread and Offutt have continued to rebroadcast those 2 messages over and over. I have heard messages repeated but not like this. After Bee Bread's signoff, he stood by for traffic. After a pause I heard him say, 5 Romeo Alpha, I have you Lima Charlie. Short pause, then signoff. Must be working duplex as nothng was heard from 5RA. 16:25z, Offutt broadcast a Sky King call. developing.... Nothing terribly unusual about that traffic at all. dxAce Michigan USA I don't know if it's unusual as I am not often home at this time to listen so there goes my 'baseline' for comparison. I too am not accustomed to hearing 'standing by for traffic' but just consider it a bonus as it's something different from what I normally hear. Perhaps due to the duration of the message they are just ensuring that anyone who had traffic during the message knows to come forward with it. On the other hand, it could be a call to arms in support of a US invasion of Canada 8-} Howard |

It is certainly a day for high traffic on 'Triple 1' though, but I've noticed the same in the past. And most times when there is a high degree of traffic you just scratch your head and wonder what is going on. In most instances there is nothing to correlate it to. But, who knows. dxAce Michigan USA |

One thing that comes to mind however is previous discussion on this group (not recent) that an indicator of something noteworthy happening is the lack of activity on the HF system due to truly sensitive information is via secure satellite link. In any case, there is a lot to listen to today. |

He did contact his son in the USArmy, and he said he knew of no big exercise's, but then, 'triple 1' is primarily Air force. dxAce Michigan USA |
