posted to rec.radio.shortwave: %MM BBC on 5975/11835 has not reached me (in Oakland, CA) at a comfortable listening level since the Florida hurricanes. (I think they moved transmitters further SE to Antigua) I was hoping for better winter reception on 9525 (FL) and 6135 (Delano) but the first two days have not been encouraging. Any idea whether the transmissions are still coming from Antigua? OTOH, 9740 from Singapore has been fantastic here, very strong signal 1400-1600 UT many mornings. Blaine Waterman No change in 5975 or 11835 reception at 52-16N 102W. Never hear 6135 or 9740. If the Florida one is the rebroadcast by the religious station, I can hear it but don't generally tune in. |
