You behind schedule David. The loonies have already given us a good
laugh over this one.

You may choose to laugh but this is deadly serious. These ****ers
have been at this for a long time. They don't give up.

''Increasingly, investigative writers seeking an explanation have
looked to Diebold’s history for clues. The electronic voting industry
is dominated by only a few corporations – Diebold, Election Systems &
Software (ES&S) and Sequoia. Diebold and ES&S combined count an
estimated 80% of U.S. black box electronic votes.

In the early 1980s, brothers Bob and Todd Urosevich founded ES&S’s
originator, Data Mark. The brothers Urosevich obtained financing from
the far-Right Ahmanson family in 1984, which purchased a 68% ownership
stake, according to the Omaha World Herald. After brothers William and
Robert Ahmanson infused Data Mark with new capital, the name was
changed to American Information Systems (AIS). California newspapers
have long documented the Ahmanson family’s ties to right-wing
evangelical Christian and Republican circles.

In 2001, the Los Angeles Times reported, “. . . primarily funded by
evangelical Christians – particularly the wealthy Ahmanson family of
Irvine – the [Discovery] institute’s $1-million annual program has
produced 25 books, a stream of conferences and more than 100
fellowships for doctoral and postdoctoral research.” The chief
philanthropists of the Discovery Institute, that pushes creationist
science and education in California, are Howard and Roberta Ahmanson.

According to Group Watch, in the 1980s Howard F. Ahmanson, Jr. was a
member of the highly secretive far-Right Council for National Policy,
an organization that included Lieutenant Colonel Oliver North, Major
General John K. Singlaub and other Iran-Contra scandal notables, as
well as former Klan members like Richard Shoff. Ahmanson, heir to a
savings and loan fortune, is little reported on in the mainstream U.S.
press.''

Do you realize you're preaching to ignorant "anti-American" scum who
are incapable of learning let alone of accepting a point of view
opposing their own? They need to go live in Middle East or Africa for
a while then reassess their opinion.

Also, this doesn't pertain to shortwave radio does it? Lets not feed
the trolls.

While you did not address this to me I do feel compelled to reply.
Yes, I have lived in the Middle East for a while and I am a
conservative. I do not see our past election as having been 'fixed'
and I do read and listen to many facts as well as a larger number of
opinions. My conclusions: The UN is ineffective, several European
countries are playing ostrich and our nation has militarily
overstreteched itself albeit whlie trying to act in the best interests
of a nation ruled by a genocidal tyrant.
'Nuff Said.

I don't know how anyone proclaiming a love for democracy can put up
with this corruption.

=================================================

In Georgia, which recently purchased 22,000 Diebold touch
screens, some voters touched one candidate's name on the screen and
saw another candidate's name appear A former news reporter in Florida
discovered that votes were being tabulated in 644 Palm Beach
precincts: but Palm Beach only has 643 precincts.

An earlier court case in Florida found the same discrepancy. A
reporter in New Jersey observed 104 precincts with votes in an area
that has only 102 precincts.

Baldwin County results showed that Democrat Don Siegelman won the
state of Alabama. However, the next morning, 6,300 of Siegelman's
votes disappeared and the election was handed to Republican Bob Riley.
A recount was requested and denied.

In North Carolina, a software programming error caused
vote-counting machines to skip over several thousand votes, both
Republican and Democratic. Fixing the error turned up 5,500 more votes
and reversed the election.

In Comal County Texas, an uncanny coincidence resulted in three
Republican candidates winning by exactly 18,181 votes each. Two other
Republican candidates outside Texas also won by exactly 18,181 votes.

In October, election officials in Raleigh, N.C., discovered that
early voters had to make several attempts to record their votes on
ES&S systems. Officials compared the number of voters to the number of
votes counted and realized that 294 votes had been lost.

A report from the Caltech-MIT Voting Technology Project states
that an estimated 1.5 million presidential votes were not recorded in
2000 because of difficulties using voting equipment and that
electronic machines have the second highest rate of unmarked,
uncounted and spoiled ballots in presidential, Senate, and governor
elections over the last 12 years.
