Default Kenwood R5000 port setting

I have the R5000 and it is setup to connect to the computer. I did have
it hooked up to a much older computer and it worked just fine. I have
unfortunately forgotten the port settings to make the radio work. If
anyone can help I'd appreciate it. I am using Smart Kenwood Control 32

Thanks

Start the program. Go to tools and then options. A window for the port
setting will pop up. I use com1. If that dosn't work try the other ports.

Thanks for the response. Yes it is on COM 1 but I forgot the other port
settings. Within the program you click TOOLS, OPTIONS, PORT SETUP.

There are 5 adjustable settings in there. I remember I used to have to
change a couple of them for it to work but I forget which ones AND what
settings to choose.

Thanks again.

Ok. Let me give you mine. Maybe you can duplicate it and it will work?

Well with your help I'm back in action. My 5000 has the dreaded keypad
bounce so using the computer is great. My new computer doesn't have a
serial port, I had to buy a usb serial adapter. Along with your
settings I had to uninstall the serial drivers and reinstall them again
and all is fine.

I haven't used the radio in quite a while so I was a little rusty.

Thanks again

Why not buy a remote control for it so you can avoid 5the bounce issue?

They are $99
