A comment on the FR200. I own one and
actually use the emergency light in it often. I had to use it in the cellar once to check for a loose coax cable to my satellite dish, also I used the FR200 light to inspect a leak under my dishwasher. One complaint though. The tuning needle on the FR200 got stuck once. I used tweezers to unstick it. I have a Panasonic radio from the mid 70's and it's tuning needle has never gotten stuck after 29 years of use. So, the FR200 is made a bit cheaply. The reception is adequate, but not DX quality. Still, it is a great emergency radio. I suspect the FR250 is built similiar to the FR200. Just baby the radio and it may last a long time. "Mojo" wrote in message om... Take a look at: http://www.restorationhardware.com/p...Id= cat140013 Apparently, it's only available at Restoration Hardware. I'd kinda like to see one, myself. JM (John) wrote in message . com... I notice in the Passpost 2005 issue in one of the many Eton advertising sections, there is one advertisement for a FR250 hand-crank radio with 7 bands of shortwave frequencies. Yet I can find no info on the net about this new radio. Does anyone happen to have any info on this radio? Thanks in advance for any info. |
