Does anybody have any idea from any reliable source as to how many
(numerically or percentage) Americans actually own a SW radio? How many
of those would be DX hobbyists or hams, and how many would be regular
people? I was thinking about the scheme to smuggle SW radios into North
Korea to give people there access to outside news sources, and I was
thinking what if a foreign government tried to smuggle SW radios into
America to give the "sheeple" an outsider's view of their country, like
somebody in this NG sarcatically suggested, and I was thinking how many
Americans would actually listen to such clandestine sets, or even how
many Americans even know that SW exists? Just a random thought on a
Saturday night...
