Degen DE1103 adapter question

What is the power output for the Degen DE1103 110v or 220v adapter? I know
it must be 6 volts -- but what is the correct MA and polarity/plug size?
Just wondering if it would be cheaper to buy a transformer locally here in
Canada, rather than the step up transformer required to make the supplied
220v adapter work here.
