Default New B.B.C. World Service Announcer

What a shock to hear, @ 1500 G.M.T., former Radio Netherlands announcer Howard
Shannon presenting the top-of-the-hour headlines on Auntie Beeb's 15.190 mhz
feed.

Clever these Dutch, they still want to win the
Anglo-Dutch war (1664-1667) and have been secretly
building a polder across the Channel and completed
it this week, taking over in their Bilderberg way
the means of production.
Next you'll see cheese rolling in Pall Mall, and the
Orange flag over Buck House.

No you won't!

Here in the UK cheese rolling has been effectively banned because
public bodies won't allow it on their property, and the insurance
companies won't cover it. Too dangerous and too much risk of
litigation......

They talked about who really works for the BBC on Write On a week or
two ago. As far a foreign correspondents, some of them are freelancers.
I've heard the woman from Switzerland (Imogene Fuchs?) on about 3
different broadcasters.

They move around too, back when ITN had their World News on PBS, one
of their anchors disappeared, and then showed up on Deutsche Welle's
"European Journal" program.
