i have listed my Kenwood R5000 on ebay follow this link...
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...e=STRK:MESE:IT the reserve price is set for £250 on the Kenwood as i think this is quite a fair price considering Radio World are selling the very same receiver for £600 with the VC20 VHF converter fitted the R5000 has the filter as well fitted so my reserve price is cheap at the price... have a bid if your interested.... John. "Chuck Yarbrough" wrote in message ... John--How much are you asking for the R5000 with its options? Tnx. THANKS "dxAce" wrote in message ... big boy now wrote: i have a Kenwood R5000 i know this unit has the VHF converter fitted. i think this has had extra filters fitted my reason fir thinking this is the case is as follows... on the receiver there is a five position selectivity switch. in the manual there is a print of the receiver and on this switch the writing next to each position reads position 1 = auto " 2 = N " 3 = M1 " 4 = M2 " 5 = W somebody has added more numbers next to each position and they now read Position 1 = auto " 2 = N 500 has been added " 3 = M1 1.8 has been added " 4 = M2 2.4 has been added " 5 = W 6.0 has been added does this mean that the extra filters have been added to this R5000 is there any other way i can tell what filters have been fitted to this receiver......were are the filters mounted internally in this receiver Under the cover! It looks like they have been added, however, they may have also been removed. The manual should show you where they are. dxAce Michigan USA |

Hi Brian
since ebay put the function were by a person could watch an item. i find the amount of people who actually place a bid has dropped quite a lot on the Kenwood i had 27 people watching the auction.. and no bids were place. since i added that i was going to end the auction if no bids were placed. a couple of bids were placed on the Kenwood to the value of £196.00. and last night. somebody used the buy it now on the Kenwood and it sold for my asking price of £280.00 so this buyer has got him self a good deal as radioworld are selling a Kenwood R5000 for £600 with the converter...... now all i need to do is sell the ICOM IC-R7000 but this will sell no problems as i sold one IC-R7000 a couple of weeks ago for £280. and this one is in much better condition...
