On my morning slot listening to BBC on 11940 they ran a report of a Dow
chemical company spokesman admitting "guilt" and responsibility for the
deaths of 20,000 people at the Bhopal chemical leak disaster. This on the
twenty-fifth anniversary of the sad event.

I pondered this, as it is actually earthshattering for a commercial company
to admit guilt in such a matter. The U.S. shyster lawyers will get in on the
act and in two two's Dow chemical will be bankrupted with their monstrous
claims.

However, later on 6190 in the evening slot BBC admitted they were conned and
apologised that the report did not emanate from Dow chemicals at all, but
was a hoax that took them in perpetrated by an activist.

They just had a special on the History Channel on this disaster.
Nothing was done on purpose, it was simply a tragic and disasterous
accident. Much as the soviet unions Chernobal, or the US's 3 mile
island. There has already been millions paid out to survivors and the
families of the dead. Its just too bad they didnt build the plant miles
outside of a poulated area, where the results would have been far
less tragic,,, hindsight is always 20-20
