The Arabs no doubt see the situation as a threat from both sides. The paranoia builds. The genius Bush then comes out with his 'Crusade' blunder and makes things even worse. Most of the world no doubt sees the Missile defense shield as a means of preventing revenge attacks after the US goes on a conquest binge under the guise of pre-emptive, before the fact obliteration of another dozen countries. Scary? Sure, but plausible. The first country the USA ever attacked was Libya. We've been ****ing with the Moslems ever since. Their wariness is warranted. Bin Laden has a list. The toughest thing on it is for us to deal fairly with Israel and Palestine and to not take sides in that struggle. Seems doable. |
