"Kitchen Time" ? I've never heard that one... The clock in a modern house is/was sometimes found on the kitchen wall. We used to connect a special outlet for it right above or near the fridge. It was a recessed outlet, so the cord on the clock could be tucked up behind it. The electrical code even said that ONLY a clock outlet could be wired in with the fridge circuit. It made sense, as the clock uses very little power AND it gave a visual indication of power to the fridge. Kitchen clocks with cords seem to be a rare commodity now, the batteries having taken over along with the 'pulsed' things driving the clockworks instead of real motors. mike |
