The reason laptops can cause fertility problems is because the laptop creates heat (usually the batteries). The problem is that the heat causes damage that can't be fixed. If you live next door to a SW transmitter you will probably have no problems. Tissue heating is usually only a problem at gigafrequencies. At SW frequencies you would have to be exposed to extremely high amounts for a while before there would be anything near a problem. Most countries have agencies that regulate maximum exposure levels. So unless you have a hot receiver in your lap, you will be ok. |
