Default Number stations in Australia

Hi all

I know many listeners will have heard the various numbers stations and
similar stations on the short wave bands from time to time.

I have looked around the Internet and noted that the sources of these
transmissiosn are generaly attributed to overseas countries.

However Australia, like other countries has its own secret services. Have
Australian short wave listeners heard numbers transmissions which have been
strong enough to have been attributed to an Australia source? Ie is there a
sort of numbers Radio G'day out there?

If so it would be an interesting exercise to get some beam headings and see
where the transmissions are coming from. A sort of mega foxhunt.

According to the old ENIGMA group the CIA station "Cynthia" used a tx site
in Oz when it was operational. See:

U.S. has some of it's most secret installations near Alice.
