Number stations in Australia
Hi all
I know many listeners will have heard the various numbers stations and similar stations on the short wave bands from time to time. I have looked around the Internet and noted that the sources of these transmissiosn are generaly attributed to overseas countries. However Australia, like other countries has its own secret services. Have Australian short wave listeners heard numbers transmissions which have been strong enough to have been attributed to an Australia source? Ie is there a sort of numbers Radio G'day out there? If so it would be an interesting exercise to get some beam headings and see where the transmissions are coming from. A sort of mega foxhunt. cheers Peter |
