I just took delivery of an 1103 from brochhi. received it ten days ago. It
has the funny extra sticker on it and there was a tiny slip of paper inside
the box, looks like a Quality Control tag. It has a date: 04 08 11. Does
this mean November 8, 2004?

The radio works very well and is alot of fun to operate. I am really
enjoying it.
From brochhi it was shipped to me for $62.00. From date of me shipping him
a MO to the day it arrived UPS on my doorstep was ten days. I asked him via
email for the English manual, he sent me a link and I printed out the manual
myself, very pleased.

As Lucky said, Liypn ads say he sells only post 9/28 models.
Brochhi might also, but I didn't see it stated in his ads.
The newer model has an extra sticker on the front... a round one
that has what looks like a tiny transmitter tower and the
letters CNR on it.
