"It's AM, FM, shortwave and XM," Ryan Giordano of Eton Corp.,
said. "So, you can listen to local broadcasts just like any other
radio, shortwave radio is something that'll let you listen to radio
broadcasts from around the world, so BBC, Radio China and
then SM satellite radio as well." - Ryan Giordano

For One and All,
..
From eGadget.Com - - -

..
"Hot damn, a proper pic has turned up of that new P'7141
'portable' XM satellite radio that Porsche Design, uh,
designed for Eton.
..
P'7141 = http://www.engadget.com/entry/1234000940023092
..
We're actually not sure whether it's the P'7141 or the
P'7132, the radio pictured says P'7141, but the listing
on Eton's website says P'7132, but predicatably enough,
we are sure that we're suckers for this thing's retro styling."

Eton P''7141 'protable' AM / FM / Shortwave / XM Satellite Radio
http://www.cesweb.org/attendees/show...sp?prodid=4372

..
The P`7132 accelerates portable audio to new levels,
offering the latest inspiration and innovation in a
coupe model for ultimate portability. The only digital
radio in its class to feature AM/FM Shortwave and
XM Satellite Ready Radio technology, operated through
its contoured switches and knobs, the P`7132 brings
style and luxury to portable audio in a different way.
Radio has never handled this well in the past.

..
So the question is is this Model the P'7141 or the P'7132 ?

That would be Eaton's (eh) as in the Timothy Eaton Company (eh)
Later known at the T. Eaton Company, then simply known as Eaton's,
then later bought out by The Hudson's Bay Trading Company, which is now
known as "The Bay" - so ends the Canadian retail history lesson.

On to the radio: Eton is the resurrected Grundig.

(Beauty eh, like Grundig makes great radios, not for hosers...)

Check http://www.geocities.com/CapitolHill/6174/eatons/ second
paragaph. You missed the last couple of ownership changes.
