I have a question for you. Why don't you find such commentary offensive?

Because I find all religious broadcasters offensive.
It is called freedom of speech and equal time.

BTW: I was watching an interview on FOX of a man in Holland(?) (where the
Divinci relative was murdered recently) and he was on a mission to "deal"
with Muslim religious fundamentalists in his country. Needless to say he
said he was being guarded by the police 24/7, can't go home to sleep or
see his family often, but was determined to press for the "removal" of
fundamentalism.

Personally, I don't believe we can have too much mockery of
Christianity. When it's left alone and left to develop--or
fester--unmocked, it tends to revert to the worst bottom-line redneck
absurdities of its ignorant American version. Then we have things like
"Christian" pharmacists refusing to give out birth control pills because
of their obvious evilness.

Whenever a group of people are clinging to traditional nonsense against
the implicit assault of encroaching rationalism, they seem to feel that
they have to hunker down and embrace even the most extreme absurdities
of their faith. Thus we have fundamentalist islamites going crazy over
the necessity of their women wearing burkahs.

Fundamentalism is fundamentalism, whether here or in Islam-land, and
it's unique in its ability to make people into fools.
