Greetings all:

Radio Nacional de Angola heard on 4950 at 2204 GMT 2/25 with talk in
PT, telephone interview and positive station ID at 2207. ID almost
sounded Brazilian-style (shouting and pop music). A little bit of
piano music afterwards. Fair signal but some deep fades.

Radio Brasil Central heard on 4985 2/25 at 2047 GMT with fair signal.
Lotsa Brazilian music, echo station ID and many commercials, many for
beer. Many mentions of their "onda tropical" frequency in IDs at
2100.

Radio Southern Highlands (Papua New Guinea) on 3275 heard on 2/26 at
1155 GMT with C&W music (of all things!). Horriby tinny modulation on
this particular song (may have been a bad recording) and time check at
1159. On at 1210 GMT past normal sign off of 1200. As far as I can
tell, the sign-off times vary according to the whims of the staff.

Radio Mauritania 4845 with fair signal at 1859 on 2/27 with FR/AR IDs
and Arabic style wailing as well as African drumbeats.

Radio Myanmar 5040 at 1040 GMT 2/26 with female announcer and pop
music. Has a version of "Swingin' Safari" by Billy Vaughn that they
use as intro music to certain parts of the program. Positive ID at
1100. Some utility QRM.

AND FINALLY....

Bhutan Broadcasting Service on 6035 with good signal, but severe and
horrible QRM from adjacents. Low modulation on the voice made this
very hard to ID. Several mentions of Thimpu and EZL music in English.
Positive station ID by female announcer at 1130 and then carrier
stayed on, but programming went away. They are scheduled to stay on,
so dunno what happened. Hope for a nice QSL out of this one!

Al
