Russian HAM Web Site
For your perusal, a Russian HAM Radio site, of little use to me, as I
don't speak Russian. But, and I have a big but, for some strange reason, the (I don't know how to put it in computerese), the page that contains all the links to all the pictures and text used by the page is in English. Perhaps whoever compiled their page spoke English. But, and I have a big but, even stranger, there are numerous PDF files on this page (not extensive, but interesting), some are of manuals, and some are Service Manuals, and they are in English. There are also executable programs. I viewed the instruction manuals for a couple of radios, they were posted in PDF format, and I saved them to the drive and scanned them for viruses before viewing. No problems though. They are in English. Let me know what you think, perhaps someone knows some of the .exe by their names. Go he http://hamradio.online.ru/ftp2/ this is where the files are. If you click the link at the top on the above page, described as "Parent Directory", you go he http://www.cqham.ru/ AH HA! I found an English entrance into the site, so this explains it somewhat. Anyway, give it a look if you wish. http://www.cqham.ru/sch_eng.html Anyway, on this page, some of the links do not seem to be adequately explained. Simply hold the mouse pointer on the various links and the description will be seen in the script on the bottom of the browser. Dr. Artaud |

There is a guy in Russia and one day I saw a message of his on the
internet about five years ago.He builds little wooden scale models of cars and trucks and ships. He was wanting to know how and where to advertise his products in America.I don't remember what all I told him,but I did help him out in some way.I got an email from him later on saying,Thank you the better for the kind attention. cuhulin |

3252.bay.webtv.net: Being monolinguistic myself, I have to rely on the "online translation sites" in order to read some of the foreign pages. http://babelfish.altavista.com/ http://translation.langenberg.com/ (excellent resource, many languages) etc. Anyway, it's quite hilarious to read the pages after they have been translated from the foreign language into English. It's better than nothing, and easier than learning 20 languages. Yet the end result is oft times quite unpredictable.
