When I move to 6973, where Galehzahal is, I lose him - he's right on 6975 on my receiver. And they broadcast in Hebrew - that's not what he sounds like (could be, though). If it is Galezahal, it's a nice catch - 5kW from the Middle East! But without knowing for sure, I'm inclined to believe it is a pirate, for now. When I couldn't find it scheduled I changed the post from "Possible Pirate" to "Pirate". At least the music is good and like you said it's a nice catch even if it isn't a swashbuckler. Lucky |

But the longer I listen, the more obvious it is that it's a conventional broadcaster. I have output power shown as 5kW, but 10kW is more bellieveable (if less impressive as a catch!) And that damn twin pass-band crap on an R-75 sure isn't helping. Sheeeeeeeeesh... and everyone wonders why SW is damn near dead... Got folks who remind you time and time again as to what is on 6973, night after night after night and every time you stumble upon you can't remember who or what it is... They're on 6973 Every night a signal propagates from Israel, which could happen often since they broadcast every day of the week. I don't know what the problem is either as I have seen it listed on several frequency lists it should be no surprise. -- Telamon Ventura, California |
