Why is that any different than someone paying $500.00 for an Icom R71a, $900.00 for a Sony 6800W Orange dial, or $3,000 and a Panasonic RF9000. Ebay is about as close as we will come to a perfect market, or one that reflects the true market value for an item. Someone wanted the radio more than you did and was willing to use his wallet rather than his mouth. Lucky wrote: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...sPageName=WDVW Lucky You think Ebay is the perfect market? HA You must be kidding? These knuckle heads have more money then brains. People have been flocking to sell on Ebay since dummies overpay for used items that could be bought new cheaper. I see it all the time. The perfect market...that's a laugh. Lucky An item's financial worth is exactly what someone is willing to pay for it. No more, no less. Economics 101. -- a d y k e s @ p a n i x . c o m Don't blame me. I voted for Gore. Maybe, but you will notice when people bid on radios like the R-75, Drake R8 a and b, Harris rigs, you find they go for close to real market prices. That's because those buyers are smarter and more informed customers. That's a real market demonstration. But you'll notice the "less serious" or more frivolous the item is, the dumber and less informed the buyers are. These are the idiots that make Ebay a great place to unload. So, just because some bumpkin is willing to pay 4 times what it's really worth, that does not make it worth that much. I bet ya after he uses the radio for 2 weeks, he'll wonder why the hell he paid $162 for it. Awwwwwww... the 'tard is still ****ed off because he couldn't add it to his collection. Cry me a river... dxAce Michigan USA |
