Why is the Kenwood R-2000 receiver selling for the same amount as a
Kenwood R-5000. Ok, it is eBay and people misplace their brains once in a while but this seems to be the case almost all the time. What am I missing about this radio? |

Ok, it is eBay and people misplace their brains once in a while but this seems to be the case almost all the time. What am I missing about this radio? Nothing, it's not even in the same universe as an R5000. It's ok, at best, the filters are pretty bad. It's made well, and sounds good though. BDK |

The price of a radio is directly to how many people are interested in
it. Apparently there are more potential buyers for the R2000 than the R5000, and the price gets bid up. I would also guess that the R2000 buyers are not using the number of features and knobs as indicators of value. Simplicity of use and a front firing speaker might be the attraction. |
