Sure is funny the so called husband who now has another woman
and kids in his life, waited 7 years to claim his story. Sounds pretty
damn fishy to me,, no conflict of interest here right. If the Courts are
going to merely take someone's word about what someone may or
may not have said years earlier,,,, we all are in serious trouble. If
that was truly her wish why wasn't it put in a living will like most
responsible people would do??? But its too late, by now her body
is no doubt shutting down and death is most likely imminent.

He's not the only one who made the claim that she had expressed her relevant
desires, and he waited so long because from the time of her heart attack
until the time he asked for the court to intervene he'd been actively
seeking treatment and rehabilitation therapies for her; he was busy trying
to do the right thing. It finally became apparent that she was "gone" and
not going to ever come back, so he moved on. He didn't grant or request a
divorce because her father stated in court that he would keep her alive no
matter what, even if she lost all of her limbs to diabetes and if she was
put on a ventilator. I have children, and I wouldn't do that to either one
of them. I'd protect them from that fate, and that's what he's doing as
well. So she didn't have a living will; it's an oversight that lots of
people have made. Hell, there's people out there that don't even have their
regular wills in order.

As for the parents, they -loved- Michael Schiavo...right up until the time
he refused to share his loss of consortium award with them. What does -that-
tell you?

None of this matters, the bottom line is that "Terri" has been essentially
dead and gone for the last 15 some years. If she had a soul, it died and
went to heaven back then, or wherever souls go after death. ( The theories
vary. )

All that's left is a shell of a body with a brain that's 20% of its former
size, with the rest of the head filled with cerebro-spinal fluid and zero
brain activity in the remaining shrunken 20%. In other words, there is no
"Terri", there hasn't been for 15 years now. If her parents want to keep
the vegetative shell around so they can pet it, they should take it to a
taxidermist and have it stuffed and put in a corner. Or maybe they should
just let it go and bury the body already instead of keeping it around on
life support. ( yes, not being able to live without a feeding tube IS life
support )

The rest of this is just a media and political circus to raise bucks for TV
commercials and keep the politicians in the public spotlight so people
think they're doing something important. It's a crock of crap.
