TIC It's kind of funny. I've studied a bit of forensic anthropology, and I swear I can see some Negroid bone structure in that face, especially the dentition. I'd like to see that skull in profile, because the prognathism might just be in my imagination, and his chin doesn't recede as much as one might expect, but damn! Based on a very superficial examination of his skeletal morphology (and admittedly from a photograph) I'd say there's some "black blood" in there! And I'd say he knows it, too. The glasses hide any clues to be taken from the brow ridges, that lame-assed hat hides any idea of the shape and contour of the cranial vault and of course any observations to be made in regards to his hair as well. His vanity seems to have compelled him to post a photo of himself, but what he sees as his dirty little secret can't be hidden from even a poorly trained observer...though it's obvious that he tried to disguise his morphology with the glasses and hat. How he must have struggled to decide whether or not to post that photo. Poor thing. Of course, having "black blood" in you means nothing, since the only race is "human" and we're all black if we go back far enough. (I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts on the origins of man, Polly. Of course, I expect no surprises.) The -really- disturbing thing in all of this isn't for him in that he's part black...it's for us in that we're all related to -him-. I never really give a rat's ass about my family origins, etc. other than the usual curiosity. But being in this group makes me wish sometimes that I was something other than what I am. This is the only place where sometimes I wish that I was a retarded black Jewish lesbian from Canada, so that then I could argue from a position of true authority. |
