I don't know. How does your expertise stack up against orbit decay?

Listen, Pal. Nobody enjoys radio more than I do. Hardly a week goes
by when I'm not configuring some kind of electromagnetc communications

device. But, for pure listening enjoyment, based on content, HF has
been rendered obsolete by modern delivery methods.

Why do you believe satellite offers better content? The Sirius
schedules available on the internet certainly don't back up this claim.

Yesterday, while many on this board were whining about bad reception
due to a magnetic storm, I was casually enjoying the VE Day coverage
from Romania, Russi, Holland, Israel, etc. on WRN via Sirius.

So what? I was getting this stuff with no problem. And I don't have to
mail a check to Sirius every month.

For half the price of a decent HF receiver, I can buy a Sirius
receiver and a ''lifetime'' subscription.

You could probably buy a clump of dirt, too, but so what? It has no
relevant value.

To tell you the truth, since Tahiti went off the air, what's the
point?

The other stations. The utlities. Etc.

Now I can't tell if you have a defective setup or if you just aren't
very interested in radio. To some extent I think you're just trolling.
Otherwise, why would post here instead of to alt.satellite.radio?

Steve

I listen to utilities. The subject was International Broadcasting.

No reasonable person would claim that this is not excellent content:

Most of these are just the usual blowtorches. Big deal.

And why should we limit ourselves to international broadcasting? Which
Sirius channel features Coast Guard comms?

And why don't you post this sort of stuff to alt.satellite.radio, Mr.
Troll?

I'm a dinosaur? You apparently haven't even heard about the internet
yet. When you do, you can cancel your Sirius subscription, which is
yesteryear's technology.

Ve day? Reminds me of the 400 Canadian soldiers killed by American bombing at Caen.

**** happens during war. On the whole, American soldiers were MUCH
better behaved during WW2 than during Vietnam or Iraq, especially
towards the local populace. Why this is, I don't know. General social
breakdown in American society?
