No to be a smart ass, but I have been listening to SW for 41 years
next month and in that time it has always had more then it's share
of religion.And when the religion is missing then we had the !@@$
cold war propadanga. NK and Cuba are the last still fighting

The CBC runs vinyl cafe' every sat morning from 10:00~11:00E,
17:--~18:00Z on 13.655 and other freqs. Good mix of odd music.
Last night they (CBC) had a nice hour long music preview on 9.?
from 9:00 until after 10:30E, 2:00~3:30Z. I didn't note the exact
freq because I was windong coils for a set ofAM/MW reject fitlers.
One to pass only above ~1.8MHz and one to pass only below ~525KHz. I
have a fairly close (~2.5M, ~3km) radio station tha produces all sorts
of in band trash. I get in on all the radio I have
listened with. Easier for me to filter them then to talk to the FCC or
their rather dull "engineer". I think he works there when he isn't
picking up trash.

But the cold war stuff was (and still perhaps is) some of the funniest stuff on
shortwave.

Congrats on 41 years, I think I'm at around 40 or so.

When I want to hear music, I put in a CD. If I'm in my car, there's
probably a cassette tape spinning. Personally, shortwave to me is for
human voice.
I'm not opposed to music on shortwave, but the fidelity isn't going
to be there. Purchased music allows me to have choice stuff without
interuption.
The religious people might play some gospel music for you, but that
might make your skin crawl.

Radio France International plays jazz. There are pop music shows on the
BBC.

Does Radio Havana Cuba still play the national anthem on some tape deck
that has mega wow and flutter? That might pass for music.
