They are growing faster than Limbaugh did in his first few years. Looks like they are growing their revenue stream by not paying their employees. Actually, they replaced that no-name person with Jerry Springer, for a bout 6 times the money plus stock options. Yeah, but will they pay him or stiff him? -- Telamon Ventura, California |

DE - Then why Cheat the little people who helped them along the way to get there ? ~ RHF Because the show was not getting clearances from the affiliates, so they replaced it. Same reason why TV shows are cancelled... bad ratings or lack of affiliate clearance. |

If that is the case, then I'm not surprised to see them jettisoning the high-paid help. $250 k for a national talk show already on over 60 stations is very low pay. Local talk hosts in larger markets make more. Basically, she was getting about $1000 for each 2-hour national broadcast she did -- not a lot of money in the entertainment world. I used to listen to her. She and her co-host were actually a lot more entertaining than Springer, who replaced them. Oh, well... bob k5qwg |

Because there initial deep-pockets investor was a fraud and they ran out of cash for a while. Staff defered their paychecks. As for the Winstead lawsuit, it's related to early termination of her contract and in Showbiz this this kind of suit happens all the time. We just don't know what the merit of her claims is. AA says they will have positive cash flow within the year. Not bad for a startup. -- a d y k e s @ p a n i x . c o m Don't blame me. I voted for Gore. |

This will be settled in (or out) of court. $300k isn't going to make or break AA. -- a d y k e s @ p a n i x . c o m Don't blame me. I voted for Gore. |

Local talk hosts in larger markets make more. They sure do! I recall something about Garry Meier who was on WLS Chicago with Roe Conn turning down what I think was 7 million for a 5 year contract and walking. Perhaps you know what the figure was being more closely associated with that kind of MW info. I'm not sure what Roe got after renewing his contract. Roe does a good job, but it's just not the same without Garry. dxAce Michigan USA |
