I again looked at the google archives and every rrs post made under the beerbarrel name is being de-archived. Not the posts to other newsgroups, just the rrs posts. It looks like it's pretty easy for someone to de-archive posts with google. http://groups-beta.google.com/suppor...py?answer=8380 Frank Dresser |

![]() "beerbarrel" wrote in message ... You must be confused....If you look at the header to all my posts you will notice that they all say: X-No-Archive: yes That is what google keys on. I have not asked google to do anything. You need to learn what those headers mean. I know what the headers mean, but I didn't consider the possibility that you were avoiding having all your rrs posts archived. I did wonder if someone was playing a cheap prank at your expense. Had I checked the headers, it would have been clearer. Frank Dresser |

I was actually playing around with the headers in Agent. All my posts
have been that way for quite sometime. If you look in a group where my posts are older than 5 or 6 days, you won't see anything unless someone quotes or reponds. As far as trying to hide posts that I have made, I have not done that on purpose. It does not bother me that someone wants to bring up something that I wrote in the past. I also realized that those posts are archived elsewhere. The bottom line is that usenet is a very, very, small portion of the internet. It's constantly changing and in a few months no one remembers what was posted anyway. Usenet, by virtue off it's lack of moderation, is not a very efficient form of discussion. If you look at it as a whole, it's mostly off topic garbage. It's bound and determined to stay that way. All in all, I don't care if people read my messages from now until doomsday. That's what you put up with when there is no moderator. |
