Sure...a piece of wire will do wonders. Does the 400 have an antenna
jack on the side? If so just connect buy it's male counterpart at
Radio Shack, hook it up and you are set.

Radio Shack also sells an antenna-on-a-reel with a connector that snaps
on to the antenna mast.
