NEW YB-400's for 80 bucks
|
D. Martin:
Reading the "fine print", they have been "factory serviced", implies there was an earlier problem with the radios... John "D. Martin" wrote in message oups.com... http://heartlandamerica.com/browse/i...6&BC=S&DL=SEH3 ...seems like a good deal. |
" Factory serviced to meet original quality standards. May have slight
cosmetic blemishes." - Not new, still probably OK.. would rather get something like this: http://www.radiointel.com/review-degende1103.htm read reviews in link below http://www.radiointel.com/phil/2005_phil_port_guide.pdf |
Well, they've been carrying these for a while. I actually have
already purchased one, some months ago, and am quite satisfied with it. Darren http://hometown.aol.com/darren1965co...e/profile.html |

AS the originally built radio...I've always had better luck with refurbs That's a good little general purpose radio c'ept it's not SSB capable...otherwise as good as my ATS 909 which IS hot off the whip Yodar |
These are good radios. That's why I posted this to begin with.

If you are refering to the YB400, it is most definately SSB capable...

They are "good" refurbished radios for $80.
A factory new YB400/G4000 for $140 is way overpriced and can't compare to a Sony 7600GR in the same price range. "D. Martin" wrote in message oups.com... These are good radios. That's why I posted this to begin with. Darren |
I love my YB-400. It's a great portable. Really nice for outdoor use,
but also perfectly fine for indoor use (though of course not as good as a tabletop model, but that's neither here nor there). It does have SSB, however, you cannot select between LSB and USB. Frankly, the SSB performance is nothing to write home about on the YB-400, but it's FM, AM, and general shortwave reception are very good. |
Refurbs can be a good deal.My refurbished 22 inch CRT screen Multisync
FP1350 computer monitor I bought from www.tigerdirect.com last year works as good as new.I saved a bunch of money on it too. cuhulin |
