PL-259 adaptable to portable radio?
I have a 50 ft. random wire with coax lead and PL-259 connector for use with my R75
Is there an adaptor that can be used to connect that antenna to a portable radio's antenna jack? |

Most likely... it would depend upon what type of jack the portable has. dxAce Michigan USA http://www.iserv.net/~n8kdv/dxpage.htm |

They're usually about $2 per adapter, and I'll generally buy an assortment in the hopes of keeping stuff in stock that'll let me convert almost anything to almost anything else. You never know when you might need an RCA-SMA adapter... |

Do not put a hard adapter in a 3.5mm socket. Use a 3.5mm plug with some flexible cable long enough to reach the table (for strain relief). Remember Sony provided these away with every 2010? |
