Default FYI - New AM {Medium Wave} DX Loop Antenna using Litz Wire plus Longwave LW Lowfer DX Loop Antenna

For One and All,

Currently listed on eBay is a New AM {Medium Wave}
DX Loop Antenna.

Each Turn of this Loop Antenna uses Litz Wire that
is made up of 175 individual strands of # 46 AWG Wire.

Looks sort of like the Liwa MW Air Core Loop Antenna.

Uses a SO-239 Connector for the Output to the Radio/Receiver.

I've owned one for almost 6 monthes. It's put together well and is
stable as far as its construction. I had him put a standard coax
connector so I could use it with my Drake R8B.
I'm no expert for sure, but it's very low noise and does the job well.
It's rotating loop make listening to DX in the evening great and as a
bonus it tunes down to nearly 300 khz and over 1900 khz so its pretty
versiile.

I can attest to the effectiveness of Litz wire. I have been using 36 turns
of #36 by 12 strand Litz wire for my loopstick antennas for awhile, and it
works very well. The Q of the antenna itself is so high that I can get away
with using an NTE-618 varactor diode to tune the antenna circuit.
