Default WHERE/WHEN do you listen ?

If I had a big old trunk-sized Hammarlund,
I'd probably do my SWL/MWL-ing at a table or desk.

It just seems so wimpy trying to manipulate
a pocket-book-sized receiver.

No hand-full tuning knobs, no toggle switches,
no glow of the 6.3v dial lamps.

....and try straining to the audio of a 2.5" speaker
for 4 or 5 hours.....

I do my late night MW listening in bed now.
Only problem is that when I nod off to sleep,
I tend to "toss the radio"...
( find it all over the bedroom in the morning )

I will say this... no tube radio would survive the punishment.

Do any SW/MW listeners still have a "shrine"
where their rig is set up ?

.....end of general rambling....

In the office, next to servers, laptops, printers, scanners, LCD TV and
a bed. Typically after 7:00PM CST nightly and later on Saturday night.

I get flashbacks sometimes and fall off my bed.I have "marks" on my
knees right now from a couple of nights ago landing on my hardwood
floor.Radios are the very least of my worries.

Tube radios waste electricity. Otherwise, I love 'em.

A local Jackson radio talk show host was talking about that obesity
thingy for a few minutes yesterday morning. He said the guy who wrote
that article was politically correct.Last time it was West Virginia that
had the obesity problem.Kind of funny though, when I am out shopping, all
of the people I see (including my neighbors too) all look perfectly
normal to me.Humph!,I wonder which state will be the next obesity state?
