Default Who does not have a radio?

How many people frequent this group actually don't have a radio? We
all know Honkus does not have a radio but who else does not and what
are they going to get if they get one?

Another question one might ask is 'who has a radio and hasn't a clue as to how
to operate it'.

It would be difficult indeed to find a household that didn't have at
least one radio. If you are talking about shortwave radios a question
with potentially more interesting answers might be: How many shortwave
radios do you own and which ones do you use most frequently.

I have a Sony 2010 and an original release 2001, mostly the 2001 stays
in it's box now as I'm storing it.

But I also have a Yaesu FT-840 which gets more use listening than
talking (isn't that how it's supposed to be on the ham bands, LOL?) and
I find I use that far more often.

Nice radio, I owned a 2010 for about 8 years and really loved it.

Current stable is:

Kenwood R5000, which sits more than it gets used.

Panasonic RF-B600, which gets used a fair amount on shortwave and FM.
Some of the nicest audio I've heard from a radio with a built in
speaker.

Degen DE1103, which gets used a lot on all bands. Really an amazing
little radio for the price.

Sony ICF 7700, is a slightly larger earlier version of the Degen
DE1103. Doesn't get used much because the keys are getting to sticky
to use.

National 100ASD which I inherited from my father doesn't get used at
all. Great example of what communication receivers once weighed and
looked like.

I estimate I own at least eighteen (or more) AM/FM/Shortwave radios, one
of them (Grundig/Telefunken floor model radio) has a built in Phonograph
in the top of the radio.Exactly how many I own though? They are
scattered around all over inside of my house,it would take me a while to
dig them out and count them up.Every room in my house has radios in
them.I am not neat and tidy and orderly like some of y'all radio guys
are.

only the "shack" is my responsitoonity, the rest of the house is the
balliwick of the W&K as far as cleaning goes, so if it's messy, it's
not my fault!!!
