I think it means "Computer Aided Transceiver" but, while the acronym is
commonly used, it's rare to find it expanded. The Icom CI-V protocol is a specification for a CAT interface. There is a good listing of CAT applications and interfaces at http://www.dk0tui.de/ham/ham_cat.html. Tom |
