Default Comparing the Icom IC-R75 to the Eton E1 Radio - Three Major Problems . . .

It will be interesting to see how the E1 is considered about 1 year
from now. By then, any QC issues will likely surface. I have heard
good reports about them so far...so hopefully Eton learned from the Sat
800 debacle.

My initial reaction to it when I saw it - "that has to be the ugliest
radio ever designed."

The display doesn't look that hot to me and I read in MT that it is
poorly lit.

To not have an internal ferrite antenna for MW at $500 is a
head-scratcher. Apparently, they couldn't figure out how to keep the
display from interfering with one, so the solution....no internal
antenna!
