I'm curious...why the preference for the YB-500? Are you a collector?
Reason I ask is that the ATS-909/DX-398 (and the YB-400/G4000A, for
that matter) is generally considered to give better performance...

I'm sort of new to Swl and like the RDS these radios have. I understand that the 909/398 are better, but I thought the yb500 would be more afordable at this stage of the hobby.
