I have an older Grundig YachtBoy 206 shortwave receiver, and I'd like to
repair it so as to have it as a backup shortwave radio. This radio is 11 years old and is analog--not digital. The tuning knob is sloppy, in that it is loose and doesn't tune the stations in precisely--there is too much "play" in it. Also, there seems to be dust inside the front panel where you would see the stations--I would hope there is some way to clean it out. Are there places where I could send this radio for repair? Although it's 11 years old, it still would be good as a backup radio, and it would be nice to get it back working well again! Thanks in advance-- Jean in VA |

Check out the shipping and handling charges (both ways) and get an
estimate for repair on that radio first.Chances are,you would be better off buying a new radio.Radio Shack stores sell a few Grundig brand name (they are not real Grundig's though) radios. cuhulin |
