Modern receivers (Stereo variety) ?

Any notable models out there? I would like a really good AM section, if
that is not an extinct item these days. I would imagine most of the
design goes into the FM portion nowadays.

Are any fairly recent models good for AM dxing or do I have to go back a
few decades for a good 'tuner only' setup?
