Found a review here. I first started with a Radio Shack DX-398, you can
still find those on EBay also, I sold mine about a year ago for $125.00 and loved it, wished now I didnt sell it. http://www.geocities.com/zliangas/Kchibo.pdf http://www.eham.net/reviews/detail/542 penno wrote: Howdy! I like the idea of listening to broadcasts from around the world, and would like to give SW listening a try. Don't want to spend a lot of money unless I know I'm gonna like it, so initially looking to get in cheap. If I find SW is kinda good, then I'll splash out for something more serious. Stumbled across the Kchibo 979 on ebay. Looks alright to me, but just wondering if anyone has any thoughts as to whether or not this will suit my purpose? Or maybe someone might have a thought to some other suitable (and suitably cheap!) models? Oh, I'm from Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia - if my location is a factor.... -- Penno http://timeenoughforlove.blogspot.com |
