Default DX RADIO MESSAGEBOARD

The following is an email sent to you by an administrator of
"DXing.info Community".
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hello,
First a couple of goodies; I have received some interesting
verifications, and would like to share the verie-signer information
with you, in
case you have heard these stations and happen to collect QSLs.
From Mexico, XEPE Tecate BC (1700 kHz) has responded to me recently,
v/s President Jaime Bonilla, from email address
.
He wrote in English.
From Afghanistan, Khost Radio from the town of Khost (1602 kHz) has
also verified by email, v/s Sakhi Miakhil, Director, email address
, also writing in English.
I believe that neither of these AM stations has previously responded to
any DXer, at least I haven't seen any verifications announced anywhere.
And just today I got a second verification for my report to Kalaallit
Nunaata Radioa, Greenland, broadcasting over utility station Ammassalik
Radio (OZL) on 3815 kHz. Earlier
(
http://www.dxing.info/community/viewtopic.php?t=1898) I got an eQSL
from KNR, and today an eQSL from Ammassalik Radio (OZL), v/s Gerda
Vilholm, email , writing in English.
I hope that you will find this verie-signer information useful. I will
post it later publicly on the DXing.info Community, but in case you
want to send a follow-up report, I am giving you, as a DXing.info
Community member, a headstart.
Then some news about DXing.info. DXing.info continues to be the top
DX-related website in the world, according to rankings and ratings by
Google Pagerank and Alexa. Visits to the website are steadily
increasing.
We now have 652 members, about 140 more than a year ago. Thanks to your
contributions, the Community serves as a valuable tool for the
worldwide DXing community. I hope that you will continue to be an
active
contributor - we all benefit from the exchange of information and from
sharing our DXperience. What is your latest logging or QSL? Have you
tried
any new equipment? We would all like to hear from you!
A few forums are still without a moderator. If you are interested, drop
me a line.
In case you have not used the Community for a while, and have forgotten
your password, you can get a new one by clicking here
after logging in, you can change your password by editing your profile.
Please consult the FAQ and previous letters
http://www.dxing.info/community/viewtopic.php?t=1249 for valuable tips.
As a brief personal note; I have recently been on a DXpedition to
Lapland. You can read more at
http://www.dxing.info/dxpeditions/lem214rep.dx
- the log itself has been delayed because of a computer disaster: my
hard disc broke down last week. I have had to pay a fortune to recover
even part of the information, but a lot was permanently lost, including
your personal emails to me. So please keep your email contact
information updated in your DXing.info profile, otherwise I can't get
in touch
with you. My eLife is in total disarray at the moment and I still don't
have a working computer, so please be patient if I am not fast enough
in
responding to your emails. And more delays are caused by my upcoming
work assignment in Venezuela.
I would like to remind you that maintaining this service takes a lot of
my time and money. You can help in both ways - either by supporting the
website financially or taking care of some of the responsibilities.
Whatever you can contribute is warmly welcome, especially now. This
website does not consider any membership fees, but if you feel that it
has
contributed to your hobby, please support DXing.info according to your
means. Even if it is only through shopping: just as before, you can buy
your annual DX publications via links at the DXing.info shop at
http://www.dxing.info/shop/
Wishing you a great DX season and looking forward to reading your
messages in the Community,
Best regards,
Mika Makelainen
Editor, DXing.info
