NIMH batterys

In article ,
says...
When I got the digital camera,
I had to get the NIMH batterys and the charger.
then I said;
Why buy alkalines any more ?
and I switched my radios to NIMH batts too.

Now here's food for thought;
A pair of alkalines measure 3.1 v
A pair of NIMHs measure 2.4 v 2.6 v

Would the lower voltage affect the performance
of any of these "3 volt radios" ?

????

I had a scanner once that squealed when you turned the volume up when
running Nicads or NIMH batteries. It only did it on Alkies when they
were about done.

Can't remember the model number any more, but it was a Radio Shack
model...

NIMH batterys

I own two hand held type radio scanners.Mostly,I use my Radio Shack
Pro-91 scanner radio whenever I want to listen to what the cops and
other people around here are up to.Since I dont use it very much,I use
Ray O Vac alkaline batteries in that scanner.A couple of hours ago,four
cop cars were parked across the street from me.I reached for my scanner
radio,they had an issue with the people next door to me,but not with my
two wimmins next door to me on the other side of my house.
