Default NIMH batterys

I own two hand held type radio scanners.Mostly,I use my Radio Shack
Pro-91 scanner radio whenever I want to listen to what the cops and
other people around here are up to.Since I dont use it very much,I use
Ray O Vac alkaline batteries in that scanner.A couple of hours ago, four
cop cars were parked across the street from me.I reached for my scanner
radio, they had an issue with the people next door to me,but not with my
two wimmins next door to me on the other side of my house.
