136khz data signal
I've always wanted to look at that Dixon antenna farm, so maybe I'll DF
this signal. Googling NPG, I found the program a reference to the Argo program to demod the signal. Still no modulation on that 135.95 signal, but Argo works for NDBs too. This is the WL (Canada) beacon http://www.lazygranch.com/images/beacons/wl.jpg Distance about 1000 miles. clifto wrote: wrote: FWIW, the signal is no longer modulated at 1Am PST. The carrier is at 135.95 when I use the sync mode to lock onto it. The signal is just as strong, simply not modulated. Now that you put it that way, a quick Google identifies it as station NPG in Dixon, CA. -- If John McCain gets the 2008 Republican Presidential nomination, my vote for President will be a write-in for Jiang Zemin. |
