Default Computer interference : I can't believe it...

Hello,

I knew that electronic devices installed near by the radio could create noise
and the like, and that any wire passing close to the radion could bring such
interferences. For example I avoid in the hotels to use the AC adapter of the
radio (ATS909), because I simply can't anything but noise on SW...

I'm often having the computer on, not to close from the radio (1.2 m far ?) and
I'm listening to the radion while checking on the computer (laptop) frequencies
and the like to identify what I'm listening.

When I put my hands on the computer, the noise level (quite low at this
distant), is raised : the S-meter gain 1 bar on 9. And this is worse when I'm
using headphones... So my body behaves like an antenna for the computer waves...

Perhaps I have a too sensible radio ? ;-)

Really amazed...

Charly
Sangean 909 +
coax fed 4m random wire dipole glued to the window.
(works better that ANT-60 reel antenna in the same conditions)
