I agree with the other posters. Sony's 7600GR is the way to go in this
category.

There are cheaper radios, but they're unlikely to rival the 7600GR in
performance.

There are better performing portables, but they're also very expensive.
I personally don't think I'll ever spend more than $200 on a portable
receiver again.

Onliest thing (Radio) I would give five hundred dollars for is a Ten-Tec
or Drake or if I had mo moola,a Watkins Johnson Radio. There isn't any
portable radio in the World worth more than nienty nine dollars.

You obviously never had your hands on a Sony 2010, SW77, SW55, SW100 or
SW07.

Whatever kind of or brand name of table model radio or portable radio
someone mentions, somebody is going to come along and knock it.I like
Chevrolets, somebody will say Ford or Dodge is better.I owm many, many
different kinds of radios of all sizes and a lot of different brand
names.I own two Ford vehicles two Chevrolets, one Dodge vehicle, two
Willys Jeeps, one made in Germany Moped (it has bicycle pedals on it)
Everything I own, regardless of whatever brand names, somebody will say
their off the wall brand name whatever is better. If I had the money,I
would buy a Watkins Johnson Radio, yet somebody says Watkins Johnson
Radios aren't all that good.Life sure is funny.
