Someone who has lived about 47 years in Latin America or its equivalent and
only 13 in non-Hispanic US, most of which were pre-school years, is hardly
of the US or US / Anglo culture. In the US Census count of 1990 I was told
in no uncertain terms by the census taker that I was Hispanic as the
definition of that term in the US has to do with language and culture.
