Might as well known it would be the notorious red curtain backdrop.

So what happened? The auction was pulled with no other
information

when

I used the link.

It was a spoof of R-M. Instead of overpriced radios (which can be
lemons), the spoofer was auctioning off a real lemon. Had R-M's
spiel down pat.

Was the lemon sitting on a red cloth?

Sounds funny and I'm sorry I missed it.

Yup. Perhaps it got archived somewhere.

I can't keep it up long, but

Thank you very much Mark. This page had me laughing out loud.

That is a very special SATIN backdrop, liberated by RabidoMart while
buying the very best in ham equipment at a New Orleans brothel estate
sale. It appears many aging hams die while in the premises and any
equipment they bring in with them reverts to the management, who cleanse
it professionally and tune it right up.....

One night when I was in New Orleans at the French Quarter, there was a
guy sitting on the curb in front of Houlihan's and there was loud jazzy
music and people were dancing in the street.(Bourbon Street) The guy had
an old Zenith Trans-Oceanic transistor radio sitting by him.He would get
up every few minutes (he was drunk just like a lot of those other people
were drunk too) and dance a few steps and then sit back down on the curb
for a few minutes.Oviouslly the radio didn't work because the round dial
thingy that is for tuning in stations kept falling out of his radio on
the curb.

I suspected it wasn't long for this world, so I saved the page on my
office computer, and it was still up when I went home for lunch so I
snagged another copy there.

Personally, I thought it needed more puffery, private bidding and a
story of someone drinking tea with a lemon just like this one while some
important historical event took place.

My favorite line in the listing was:

"If the item received is not as expected please CONTACT ME, before
leaving negative feedback, as I always try to retaliate."

That pic with the multimeter reminds me of a picture of Scientology
founder L. Ron Hubbard hooking up an electrical meter (called an E-meter
in the cult) to a tomato via a nail driven through said tomato in an
attempt to "audit" the vegetable. (For more info visit xenu.net and
search for this pic.)

Booze makes your knob fall off? Explains Ace's problem quite well...

I liked this:
"This is all done primarily to protect me from the people who buy food
items, consume them, and want to send it back to me as non-working and
expect a refund."

There are those who have said what they bought amounted to "used food".

LOL! It's still food, just reprocessed food! Organically separated
ingredients!
