Maybe you can answer this: how come a dual-conversion receiver gets images of mediumwave signals while tuned to a longwave frequency? I hear 1050 khz when my E5 is tuned to 150 khz. So one of the IF filters is 450 khz.

Default WBCQ ANNOUNCES THE TIMTRON NETWORK!

weatherall......my main image on lw is actually 1070 mw but it doesnt
necessarily need to be related to the if frequency, i often hear rf
interference on audio amplifiers and even the telephone. these radios
have unshielded chassis and are wide open to pick up anything. i have an
opinion on the processes involved but for a detailed explanation i will
wait for one of the resident hams to chime in!
